i juice every day (i actually love green juices!) and eat salads every day so it's not the raw lifestyle that i found difficult - it was just post-fast when i broke them in the midst of a healing crisis. i found it difficult to take in any juices or raw foods - even though i was having small amounts of diluted fruit juices that i ate with a spoon, like soup. my hands swelled up immediately and i felt r-e-a-l-l-y ill. for some reason, the vegetable broth, wakame soup and steamed broccoli (later in refeeding) helped to reduce my symptoms. i was still juicing though - it just seemed that the addition of the broths and clear soups seemed to alleviate some of the more alarming detox symptoms.
