Re: Crohn's Disease and fluoride

Thanks for the replies ^__^

I haven't had any dental work shockingly enough. I've only been when I was little and had a tooth removed, but I have no fillings or anything like that. My anaesthetics were usually for scopes, but I've had one for a gastrostomy and one to take it out. And one for the removal of my colon. I was on an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppresants, but I stopped them a while ago.

Since the operation I've had no Crohn's symptoms, except in the stump of rectum they left, which I pass blood/mucus from every day. I can eat anything I want really, but I'd say my diet was pretty healthy, as my mum prepares dinner herself from mostly organic ingredients. Unfortunately this has been in a non-stick pan which I'm sure hasn't helped. I do drink alot of milk, which hasn't been a problem since the operation.

In addition to the fatigue, I have an iron deficiency, folate deficieny, insomnia, depression, minor back pain, constant thirst although I drink lots, frequent urination, 'brain fog', I get muscle twitches above my right eye quite often, and I get pins and needles very easily (roughly 2/3 times a day). I'm only 5' 4 and weight 50kg, so I'd like to increase my height as much as I can before I finish puberty. But no matter how much I eat I don't seem to gain any weight or height (I haven't grown in at least 6 months) I've noticed white spots on some of my teeth which I think is dental fluorosis too.

In fact I've just ordered some Lugol's, and I'm planning on using it in conjunction with calcium, boron, vitamin c and tamarind (plus lots of water). The problem is I've been absent from college for most of this year, so I have to learn everything for my exams in 4 weeks. I'm finding it hard enough just to go to college, nevermind lots of extra work at home. I'm just worried that detoxing might make my symptoms worse, which I can't really afford right now.

Hopefully the amount of fluoride will only be small since I'm only young, so the detox won't take too long. How long would you say it would take for my symptoms to be relieved somewhat?

Sorry about the essay I've just written :p
