The idea about it being due to the cayenne is reasonable I think, but I would be a little surprised if the spicy-hotness of the cayenne would be prolonged enough that it would *still* burn on its way out! :) But no way to tell for certain. The strength (heat units) of the Cayenne is supposed to make a huge difference in effectiveness.
Remineralizing the body is a big part of the equation; IMO the other side of the coin would be making the body *less acid* by restoring its ability to eliminate [acidic waste] effectively. Perhaps the alkalizing drink promotes both?
