I don't know if there are specific protocols for a meal a day fast (most fasts require one to avoid solid meals - generally, the less you eat the more productive the fast will be). Ideally, we would eat only one type of fruit once at the end of the day.
Protein? I don't know how much you need but few (if any) here will suggest eating animal products (The milk and flesh contain the animals toxins). Raw nuts and seeds are much cleaner.
Water (home distilled) and juices are excellent choices. How much? Hmm... There are a lot of factors here (your size, activity level, climate, etc.) but a gallon of water and a pint or two of juice should be plenty.
Duration... This depends on what you want to improve and how long you want to maintain your improved health. I think a month would be a good initial goal. (I made a similar transition and had no desire to return to my old diet.)
Enemas can help the toxins move out if you are not having one BM per meal.
Liver flushing (H. Clark's method) is very safe. Simply, follow her directions... some tend to complicate this procedure but it works well "as is".
Orange juice fasting is far superior to eating but it may be more difficult in the short-term.
BTW, MH has a lot of information on his site (there is a link at the top of the forum).
P.s. Full body Sunshine! A meal in itself! And deep beathing does wonders for circulation. Best of all, both are free!
