Growing my own foods?

Hi there MH. I've been reading on how one day the same people that want to control the population (want us dead) will be controlling our food supply. So I've been wondering what type of heirloom seeds I should purchase and learn to plant in order to survive their agenda... potatoes? How are beans grown? Or should I just stick with fruits? I live in rhode island and am not sure what fruit trees and where I would be able to plant my foods for when that sad day comes when the government is feeding us dead fake foods.. Thanks. Tweet
