If that is true, that Islam as a religion does indeed sanction killing in these circumstances (like war), then I have to agree that you are correct that such a religion is a false one. However, I would also have to question anyone who says the Bible (for example) sanctions killing in certain circumstances, such as in war, or the "eye for an eye" way of thinking, or even the idea that killing is ok in retaliation for killing. I would have to say that person's interpretation of the bible and Christianity (in my opinion) is also flawed. So, does one person's or a group of persons' false interpretation of a religion make the religion itself false? Nope. One needs to make sure that the person upon whose interpretation of the religion is being based, is actually interpreting it correctly. Woah! Then one gets into all kinds of meaty ideas! For what exactly is truth, and what exactly does interpretation have to do with truth?!
