This is almost assuredly *it*! Re: Raw Vegan Problems

It sounds to me like a major deficiency of Vitamin B12!! And guess what two foods are extremely high in B12? Salmon & eggs!! You're hearing your own 'doctor within' quite well :) It takes a year or more (sometimes several) for a B12 deficiency to start presenting symptoms, and when you see the info below, I think you'll know what to do about it. And if I'm right, you'll start feeling better within a few days (maybe even a few hours!).

Here's a quick 'copy n' paste' from here:

>>>You're most vulnerable to vitamin b12 deficiency if you've vegan and don't use the available dietary supplements containing vitamin b12. Infants breast-feeding from vegan mothers can also be at risk. Vitamin b12 supplements are generally regarded as safe because there are few known adverse effects of overdose.

The main symptom that arises from vitamin b12 deficiency is a type of anaemia that causes you to feel tired, weak and lethargic. You might also feel nauseous, constipated and become very flatulent (gas). You may also lose your appetite and suffer weight loss.

More severe cases can give vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms, which include:

* Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
* Insomnia
* Loss of memory
* Dizziness
* Lack of balance
* Depression
* Digestive problems
* Dizziness
* Liver enlargement
* Eye problems
* Headaches
* Hallucinations
* Inflamed tongue
* Breathing difficulties
* Loss of memory
* Palpitations
* Neurological damage
* Tinitus or ringing in the ears

Vitamin b12 is commonly found in animal products like eggs, dairy, fish, meat and animal organs. B12 is rarely found in vegetables, which is why vegetarians and especially vegans who don't eat dairy products or meat, are especially at risk. If you fall into this category then you should consider using vitamin supplements containing b12.<<<

'Tis very important to NOT solely use synthetic B12 (although it'd probably give you some short term symptom relief). Your best option (as far as supplements go) is Red Star Nutritional Yeast, Mini Flake T6635+ Vegetarian Support Formula. The cheapest place to buy it (on the 'net and in the world) is here:

Almost all natural markets/health food stores stock it in small/more expensive containers; a few will have it in their bulk section.

I'm not sure if it qualifies as 'raw' (technically, or where you 'draw the line'), but there's a fantastic recipe for 'fake cheese sauce' made with Red Star...and it's FANTASTIC...and if you haven't already had your omelette, it'll serious 'hit the spot' (dip anything in it or slather on everything), Here's a link to some of the various recipes for that:

Also, there's a huge, evil rumor on the 'net that this yeast contains MSG. I've researched it DEEPLY, and it's absolutely false (I even had an RN & and a pharmacist review my research). The rumor was started by a company selling Superfood (that is/was trying to snag customers away from Dr. Schulze s Superfood...grrrr). The company that started (and continues) to publish this lie is DayStar Botanicals...and their 'propaganda sales hype' is so 'good' that there's even informational sites now that claim Red Star has MSG...but it does NOT. Dr. Schulze used/uses nutritional yeast in his Superfood, as he had all his patients on a strict raw vegan diet...and he cured over 9,000 of incurable diseases. This is NOT a healer that would have EVER allowed anyone to ingest MSG. (Besides, I'm extremely sensitive to Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) and I've never had a reaction from Red Star).

Millions of people have stayed healthy for decades on a raw vegan diet...but always listen to your doctor within. There's no lifestyle or diet choice that is more important that your precious health.

Blankets of blessings!
