Re: Starting Budwig Diet/Protocol!
Thanks!
Yeah, I have learned a lot about bipolar disorder since she was diagnosed. I researched extensively over the net along with chatting with her doctors after being diagnosed. She has two books about bipolar disorder & I have completely read one of these & it's over 200 pages. I am very understanding of her illness. If I didn't then we would've divorced a good while back ago. I honestly don't know how many men would've stuck with things after what I went through but hey I love her.
If you don't know anything about the illness then how can you learn to cope with it? Well, I learned about it probably more than she even knows herself. I know how to react & handle her when problems arise. She varies from manic for a few days to depressive maybe lasting only a day or two. Since she's been more stable she's more manic than depressive but much better than say 5 years ago. Of course, manic can lead to some good things while also possibly having bad things as well. She likes to go on spending sprees when she's manic but has done better with that in the past couple years. Also, our sex life is better when she's manic but very bad when she's depressive. Lately, though with my prostate problem the sex has been few & far between. She's very understanding as I have been with her illness. We are close & talk like we never have before. We used to suffer from communication problems but not any more.
I remember seeing Jenny McCarthy on Larry King back earlier this year about her son. He's autistic as I remember correctly. She is dead set about child
vaccinations causing defective problems with children, I don't disagree with her either. Our son was diagnosed with ADHD at 3 years old. He was acting fine before this age & wasn't even bad at the terrible 2's stage either. He started having behavioral problems once he began head start school program at 3. Then, he was put on meds which have been changed quite a bit since. He's on that Focalin XR now which was the very first one he was placed on after diagnosis. My wife is dead set that he's bipolar like her. It's a possibility but doctors here or most anywhere will not diagnose bipolar in a child until older. I'll read up more on the Jenny McCarthy situation along with Drew Carey. Thanks again for replying
