What is YOUR opinion of distilled water?

I am curious to find out what everyone's own personal opinion is of distilled water. I am torn actually. I read that it was the only water to drink and very good for us, then I read it was really bad for us and would lead to an early death. What the heck. Currently I am drinking distilled water and have been for about 5 weeks. I am seriously thinking of just going back to filtered tap water though. What to do.....
