I always understood that suggestion to mean "You'll have trouble sleeping because you'll be getting up to go to pee every 30 minutes" or whatever :) For me that's especially true... I *HATE* having to go to the bathroom while sleeping, or even having the tiniest feeling of having to, it drives me nuts... I always wait at least an hour before going to sleep after drinking anything, to make sure everything's been "emptied" ... Then I drink about 1/2 cup of water RIGHT before going to sleep, so the morning urine won't be too concentrated or too little. I know that goes against everything I just said ;) but if I fall asleep within like 10-15 mins after that, it doesn't seem to bother me ... and it kind of gives me more of an urgent reason to get up earlier in the morning, hehe.

Also, in my limited experience with "holding out" and fasting, I've noticed that it seems WAY easier to hold out BEFORE eating anything than AFTER... meaning, once I actually do eat something, since it like, activates the whole digestive process and puts the body in "eating mode" or something, it becomes more difficult to go back to "non-eating" after that. I guess this is why it's recommended to prepare for a fast by "leading in" to it by eating more lightly before actually starting, instead of just jumping right into it. This is also probably why breakfast is easier to skip than other meals (which is true for me also)

Anyway, I'm sure that doesn't answer your question (I'm not a heavy faster), but I thought I'd share anyway ;)
