I have a distiller, but I could buy water from Walmart that was only .05. Mine put out 1.5. Plus in the summer time, the distiller added to the heat in the house, and if you didn't make it continually the charcoal filter which gets out the chlorine could get moldy and need to be replaced often which added to the cost of making it.
