Re: Everyone needs to see this

Candace Pert, PhD, in her excellent book, Molecules of Emotion, chronicles her discovery of the endorphin receptor, the first one discovered that won her team the Nobel Prize (now there are over fifty identified cell messengers and receptors). She went on to describe how her research led her way out of mainstream medical thought. She expressed great hope that something just like this would be researched. However, her research grant was turned down after initially being accepted, going instead to research on more traditional cancer drugs.

So, hundreds of billions of dollars of charitable donations, funneled into pharmaceutical companies for decades has produced this: an effective cancer drug is defined as a drug that will prolong the life of a cancer patient for 1-3 months (of agony). Obviously Low Dose Naltrexone is an accident that victimizes the drug industries. This has been around for years and years, but no one has been talking about it. Obviously the drug companies are not pushing this, or research into it, either. No one is going on free trips to Maui for prescribing this stuff.

One regular fifty milligram pill is turned into a third of a month's supply of Low Dose Naltrexone, at a cost of about a dollar a day. No wonder they aren't publicizing or researching this! There's no money in it!
