Although it was hard to tear mayself away from the Dow dump today, I went to work at the fleamarket anyhow.
Here are the front running rumors:
China is drilling for oil off the Cuban coast, drilling diagonally and sucking up the oil under the Gulf of Mexico. They are stealing all of our oil, because the oil field is being sucked out like a milkshake with a straw, and it's because of all the west coast liberal tree huggers, who have stopped oil drilling.
Gas is still rationed in Atlanta, maxium purchace of 15 galleons.
Even with the current lows on the dow, the market doesn't yet reflect the actual (low) value of American companies, current fleamarket prediction is a bottem at 5,000.
Social security has been tapped out and disability checks will not be issued next month. (This was a biggie.)
We will end up as a third world country, the economy just can't hold together no matter what. So those rich suc***s are going to be just like us, and it's finally going to be an even playing field. They will all be paycheck to paycheck like the rest of us.
Everyone seems just plain discouraged, even the most hard working and optomistic people were pretty shaken. The fleamarket isn't really a random sample, most people have run all sorts of businesses, large and small, big experience pool.
