The diets tell you to use Grade B or Grade C. Most stores offer Grade A which has most of it's nutrients taken out. there's a possibility you might have to go to a health food store (I buy at wild oats which has it bulk and is alot cheaper)
No, do not use the pancake syrup stuff. That's just maple flavored. If you want a real treat, put the pure maple syrup on your pancakes. This is more expensive, but does not have Sugar in it like the pancake syrup does.
