Hello Newport,

Here is a link to a quality 9 volt NiMh battery charger. It will charge both 8.4 and 9.6 volt batteries.

There are reports of good luck with Accupower and Ansmann brands. The CTA brand sometimes is good and other times not so good. There are several reports of iPower and Tysonic batteries dying after a short period of use, but they are cheaper and you may get lucky...

Keep in mind that the 9.6 volt batteries are slightly larger than the 8.4 batteries. Sometimes they don't fit in the space provided for them.
