Re: anybody heard of a surgery?

Most of what I know is from the book I mentioned earlier. The most common side effect is in men who get a complete vermilionectomy. The hairs under the lip can grow against the lip and be a nuisance. If the bottom 1-2 mm of the lower lip are ok,this should not be a problem.I don't think this surgery would work for someone who got e.c for unknown reasons since the new lip could go bad as well. But if like me you got e.c from biting or peeling or rubbing with a towel after showers and assuming you won't do it again and assuming the area affected is stable and not growing in size, then the surgery could work.Remember the epithelium and sub mucosa are removed leaving the muscle layer. These are only a few cell layers thick which is probably what causes e.c .
