Hi 36919...Your doctor's right! A slow and easy liver cleanse will work just fine...and you'll be better for it.

There's a wonderful book, "The Liver Cleansing Diet" By Sandra Cabot...and it's
available on ebay right now, I just checked...and it's even available on the
'buy it now' format...so I hope you'll get that on the way to your front door, asap.
If you have a health food store nearby that carries books...they probably have it
on the shelf today.

A congested liver is just a liver that is overloaded with waste matter...and when
that happens...it just has a hard time doing it's job.

Every food or drink we take in...is broken down and run through our liver. When
we eat healthy...raw veggies, fruits...do juicing....the liver can run smoothly.
But when we eat junk food...processed foods...cooked foods...the liver has to work
overtime to try and keep up. THEN as we add grains and starches and meats...some
of that food can become 'stuck' in the liver cells. The liver eventually looses it's battle...and becomes congested.

The Liver Cleansing Diet Book is wonderful. Just packed with good sound information. And the diet is so simple...and easy to follow. You'll just be
'eating to live'...for a short time...instead of 'living to eat'. And pretty soon
both you AND your liver will be happy...and you can find a good healthy diet
and lifestyle program that you can live with. You won't have to give up everything
you love for the rest of your life...but just make those things a 'treat'...instead
of your daily diet.

The beet juice that someone else recommended really is good for the liver. But if
you don't change your diet and lifestyle...the beet juice will be worthless. You
can't...'half fix'...your liver. You've got to get all the bad stuff out of your
diet...do the deep breathing...get out in the sunshine a little each day. Take up walking at least 20 minutes a day. Just make this a time to turn your health totally around. And if you have someone else in your household...get them in on it,
too...make a game of getting healthy. Make 2006 the year you restore your health!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh and on the beet juice. If you 'do' use it...start with a very small
amount...1/4 small beet is plenty...in a glass with 4 or 5 carrots, juiced. Then
you can slowly work up on the beet. You'd turn your tummy wrong side out if you
drank a big glass of beet juice by itself or even too much with other juice...if you didn't work up slowly.

Hope some of this has helped...and I sure hope you get the book I mentioned.
