Re: Extreme flatulence triggered by anxiety.Help!!

I am suffering the same. I am frustrated and although my gastroenterologist is doing his job, I don't think he really understands the predicament I'm in. I too get anxious when sitting in a meeting, a movie, anywhere where I feel stuck or too embarrassed or uncomfortable to make a seen by walking out. It is always a situation with a lot of people in the room. I too see that it is psychological because it quits as soon as I leave the situation. I am wondering, are you all married? Do you suffer from depression, have trouble connecting with people? Are you introverted, a loner, get along well with people but don't really seem to make friends? I am curious what we have in common. My therapist says that when I learn to connect with people, then it will quit. I think if it would quit then I could work on connecting with people. Can anyone relate?
