thank you for your input. I didn't realize that no water would act in this manner. The zapper I have plugs into the wall, so I don't think it would be appropriate to put the paddles into water. Risk of electrocution.

I suppose I could just take a simple 9 V battery and hook up one wire to each electrode and put the other end into the foot bath. That might work, what do you think? interesting
