Ummmmm....
I haven't been here in a while, I came to check on suppliments for my parathyroid..... The United States is not perfect, nor are we as Americans. We are, as a whole, loud, selfish, and many times plain ignorant. Our Pop culture glorifies sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll and rap. Our movies, adverising and music all prey on us. Generations have lost many young men to war. Were we justified to get involved in WW I and II? Should we have helped the Jew's in concentration camps? Going into WW II, did we know the atrocities? What do we know about Saddam? He kills those who oppose him, so people DON'T oppose him. He hates the U.S. We can all stand back and call the government names if we want to. We can do this because it is our right. Those young men who fought and died did so in order that OUR freedom remained a right. We all have ideals and opinions, but the government has to make very hard decisions based on facts and not ideals, to protect us tounge wagging slobs on the sidelines. Our personal ideals and opinions won't protect us from a suicidal terrorist in a cockpit or with a vial of smallpox. We have not walked a mile in their shoes. I know they aren't perfect, but they are working to protect us AND those who are oppressed. No one forces us to live here folks, the door swings both ways in the United States. We have gotten so used to our rights that we forget those who have none.
