Ah, after re-reading your post, I noticed you also mentioned white goo. That would definitely suggest yeast infection (aka oral thrush). It's not out of the question that bacteria can thrive on the EC environment.

A few questions:

Do you recall which color discharge came first? Any reason to suspect catching a yeast infection from someone?

Have you been tested for Candida or changed your diet accordingly? Can you tell us which treatments failed for you when you have a chance?

And finally, do you recall any serious emotional trauma before you noticed your lips peeling? Any major stress or panic attacks?
