what does the doc really know?

Hello fellow fasters,
I am just back from the doctor (who admits she knows very little about fasting) and she says i have low, but not dangerously low, potassium level, and slight elevation in liver enzymes (fatty liver).

she wants me to take a potassium supplement, which she says may make me nauseous. i so don't want to. i want to trust my body in this process and i am on day 16. i just don't want to lose momentum.

she also advises only one more week of fasting, get my levels checked again, then if all looks okay, she would approve another week.

what do i do? she's a doctor, but she even says she isn't experienced with fasting. i don't want to be arrogant, but i wonder if i should ignore her in this case.

will fatty liver and low potassium resolve themselves as i continue the fast, or get worse?

advice definitely welcome!
