I personally don't support your view. That may be what worked for you, and that's great I don't knock you for it. But a different person may need to see the scale moving down quickly in order to get the motivation to exercise and make better food choices. I don't think we should pass judgement on other people and their methods. I believe that everything works, but everything won't necessarily work for you. Lots of people have found that fasting has freed them from food addictions the same way you found that giving up a few things was something that gave you success. And on the opposite side, other people have failed doing both. I think we should just encourage each other to meet our own goals and not attack the choices other people make.
