i am so close! wednesday, i break fast and i have to admit i am so ready. call it psychological, call it what you like, i miss food.
unfortunately, i never experienced what some call the faster's high. it was a tough one from start to finish. well, some days tougher than others, but certainly no high.
i do not in any way wish to discourage people from long fasting. exactly the opposite, in fact. i felt when i started and i still feel that the benefits are worth it. i fully intend to do another 4 week fast in the spring to get even deeper into the detox i know i need. i will be quite curious to see how the spring fast differs from this fall fast. all more experience under the belt.
i will post about refeeding, as i believe this to be informative and (i hope) helpful to others in the same situation. as stated many times by others, refeeding is harder or trickier than the fast itself.
