Hello May,
Now that I know the reason for your possible cosmetic surgery then fasting to avoid it will of course be of no benefit, except for post-fast healing.

The experience you had with excess fluid around your torso and bruising, will be minimized this time around if you fast immediately after surgery.
Bruising of course is internal bleeding, and the excess fluid is a measure undertaken by the body in protecting that area along with some internal/external inflammation, which is another protective measure by the body.
All of this will be minimized by the fast, if not avoided altogether, both in severity and duration.

Your plan for dealing with it seems quite good..........
4 days raw fruit and veg and juice (the days before and during surgery)
3 days juice (immediately after surgery)
10 days waterfast
3 days juice
4 days raw fruit.

On the other hand that wouldn't be my own approach which would be something like this...............
#1. Raw fruit and salads one week before the operation, being careful not to mix the two and eating only according to appetite.
#2. Two days before the op' I would have fresh fruit juice in the morning (apple with orange) followed by vegetable juice in the afternoon and evening (organic carrot mainly, with any other veg' of your choice).
#3. and then the 3 days fresh juice (immediately after surgery)
#4. followed by the 10 days waterfast
#5. followed by 3 days juice.
#6. followed by 4 days raw fruit, but combine them correctly for max' digestion and absorption and to minimize fermentation and putrefaction.

Fruit Combinations are.......
Sweet with sub-acid.
Sub-acid with Acid.
Never mix Acid fruits with sweet fruits.

Post-surgery eating, after your 4 days or so on raw fruit, I would stick to a plant-based-diet that is approx' 80% raw and 20% cooked.
I don't think many people prefer raw broccoli, raw cauliflower or raw potato for example!!!

You may find this to be useful, which has been the basis of my own way of eating for nigh on 30 years and swear by it.

Proper food combining also gives you the luxury of being able to eat MORE food according to appetite; more than any other so-called diet, and still lose any excess weight permanently.
