Good post fledgling, I read an interesting proposal about the subject of plastic waste. It was proposed that all people should have to store their own plastic waste, for a year, before it would be collected for recycling. This waste would have to be stored on their own property, inside their houses or apartments in bins provided for this purpose.

The more waste you created, the more you would have to store yourself. This proposal is designed to create awareness in people of how much waste they contribute, because with garbage collection on a regular basis, people really don't have a sense of how much they personally contribute to the plastic waste that is drowning our world. The great sea of garbage is not something they have to face on a daily basis.

I'll bet if we had to live with our own waste, there would be a lot less of it.
