Good question. That is a possible & partial scenario. More likely habits of health, diet choices, use of sugar, access to & attitude toward Western Medicine with Antibiotics , immune compromising vaccinations etc, all run in the family & work together to allow the opportunistic infection to take hold & produce enough Pyrroles to create problems. If the infection were very contagious & exposure were the main factor, then many more people would have it.
