Re: Antacids and epsom salts

I have used a product from my doctor called "Inflamase" which contains several different enzymes that are released in both a gastric and enteric phase. Its an excellent product, but rather costly. I am mostly interested in enzymes for anti-inflammatory purposes now (my chronic lower back, leg and hip pain have been attributed to nerve and nerve root inflammation) I don't have a full understanding of the problem, but have read that bromelain is an excellent anti-inflammatory agent. Is this true and what is the best way to safely use digestive enzymes? Traditional doctors have suggested long term Prednisone therapy for the pain, but I am afraid of this steroid, I have two friends who are on it and suffer horrible health problems and still suffer from frequent pain.
