Sounds to me, from what I have read, including this guys letter, he made some bad business and personal decisions, and was trying to dodge income tax through using the status of the catholic church as an example. I certainly don't agree with tax exemption by churches, or individuals, but what this guy did is an extreme, murderous and criminal reaction to what is essentially a guy having a bad time with the tax department.

This is only my opinion, I'm sure that I don't know the full story yet, but there are always people worse off than this guy, there are always going to be those that are hurt by government policy, but to kill and injure innocent people, just to prove a point, is abhorent, and in no way can his actions be justified. There is always another choice.
