Re: if you pay taxes, you condone violence

Seek2clean, what are the penalties for non payment of taxes in your country? Can you be jailed, or is it a fine system?

In my country it is the law that working people must pay taxes, and though I may not agree with everything that my tax dollars are spent on, I do obey the law of the land.

The harsh truth IMO, is that if you do not condone violence, then you use the system of democracy that is available in a democratic country, to vote against the people who would use taxes for violent means. If the people I personally vote for do not win, then I must accept this as the majority decision, as this is the democratic system I live under. This in no way means that I am agreeing to violence, or condoning it.
