Thank you for your comment, true and you have identified the nature of potato right, however, that is not all the properties of potatoes. Yes, one must take it according to his/her body types. And personally I found it very helpful to revitalize my body after long fast and cleansing, my uncle is a registered dietitian and been practicing chinese herbalism for many years, he recommanded me to intake modest amount of raw potato juice after fasting, and I am very happy with the result.

"Potato - neutral thermal nature, sweet flavor; mildly diuretic, tonifies the spleen-pancreas and the qi energy; harmonizes the stomach; lubricates the intestines; fortifies the yin aspect of the kidneys; contains an abundance of carbohydrates that are already in the form of sugars. This sweet flavor can favorably influence the spleen-pancreas, particularly in those individuals who do not chew other carbohydrates well enough to obtain a satisfying amount of sugars. Potato neutralizes body acids, which helps relieve Arthritis and rheumatism; and its rich potassium content is good for those who have used too much salt and high sodium food, including meat.
