I think the three legged stool (3LS) health approach advocated by Walt Stoll (stress release, whole foods and appropriate exercise) may be critical to a long term cure from leaky gut syndrome and candidiasis. Dvjorge mentioned Walt just recently in a post.
I think releasing stress, eating whole foods, regular exercise and consuming lots of fermented foods (cultured vegetables, kefir etc) for a few years will pretty much ensure you don't relapse. The "for a few years" may sound a bit depressing, but the reality is 90% of candida sufferers relapse, so a long term cure is not something to be taken lightly. You need to consider what lifestyle factors contributed to the disease in the first place, and remove them.
