Re: Women and christianity.

"I realise that is how you view christianity bewnyfur, but again, this is not how others view it. This does not make your view wrong, nor does it make the view of others wrong."

Well regardless that is what it says in the Bible. Not everyone that is a scientist has the same conception of what Science actually is either. That doesn't change the fact that Science is based on certain principles, which are immutable.

If a person says they follow what the Bible says and then does not follow what the Bible says that is wrong. This is why people who are said to be fundamentalists are in actuality not as they say, when they act and speak contrary to the perceived fundamental tenants of Christianity. Namely Love thy neighbor...Lets compare that to fundamentals of basketball...

Shooting the ball in basketball is fundamental.

"Love your neighbor" is fundamental to being a Christian.

"Fundamental Science is dependent upon deductions from demonstrated truths, or is studied without regard to practical applications."

Now lets make another comparison.

When a person watches the Science channel on the telly, the host of the show occasionally makes a statement that is conjecture or perhaps they may even state that something which is not necessarily proven is definitely the way that it is.
Despite the fact that their statement may be contrary to the principles of science they are still viewed as scientists because they have cloaked themselves in the garb of science by naming themselves as such.

Consider the tele-evangelist that does the same thing. They cloak themselves as one of the flock in order to take advantage and spread falsehood. Are they still Christian because that is what they call themselves?

Can a Caucasian man be Semitic just because he calls himself such? Can a man really be a woman just because he dresses like one?

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
