Thank you for your for your reply, I think it is just the lingering bitterness and tingling. It slowly builds over 5 to 15 minutes, it does not start right away. I don't think there is loss of sensation, but I think I will get some plants from another source and try them to see if I have the same result. Is there a better way to judge the potency of your soup other than the approximate reduction in the liquid. I did not measure the water that went into the pot but I did measure with a tape measure at each step and think I am at about one eighth the original amount. Also could you tell me how long it will keep in the fridge, without adding the vinegar.
