Re: 9. additional helpful herbs for the kidney patient (see edit at the bottom)
Also tonic herbs are good
Tonic Herbs are herbs that increase energy and strengthen the body. The effect of tonic herbs is to increase the strength of the muscular and nervous system while improving digestion and assimilation, resulting in a general sense of well-being.
Tonic: The tonic herbs strengthen and tone either specific organs or the whole body through nutritional stimulation.
Tonic - tonic herbs promote the various functions of the bodily systems. Most tonics have general effects on the entire body, but some also have more specific effects on particular organs or systems.
These are tonic herbs specific to the kidneys (source-gaines)

Be sure all herbs are organic or wildcrafted as these are 7-10 times higher in the many phytochemicals that cure and prevent disease.
The best way to take herbs is in the form of herbal tinctures. These are absorbed directly into the bloodstream bypassing digestion.
the 2nd best form is teas. Be sure to use organic herbs and distilled or steam distilled water as it is empty and thus absorbs more of the phytochemicals/phytonutrients.
Generally herbs in capsules should not be used as they are not readily absorbed and can also be burned in the powdering process.
the usual tincture dose is about 60 drops (2 dropperfuls) 3-5 times a day for a person weighing 150 pounds.
If much above or below this, and for children and pets, use Clark's rule explained here
