Most vegetables will need to be cooked to be digested. Or juiced. Because we are not cows with 4 stomachs.
But what did people eat before cooking was invented? Hmmmm.... ?
Chris needs Some Meat for health. But you haven't tried raw meat as part of your diet yet. Sashimi is a good start. Even Don Quixote eats raw sashimi.
Go and experiment with raw meat. Begin with sashimi and raw fertilized eggs.
See if it makes you feel even better.

Japanese market their culture very well. They just have to have sashimi in their restaurants and groceries. Raw sashimi is part of Japanese culture.
Sometimes it's just the presentation.
Go to a French restaurant and order Steak Tartar.
Go to an Italian restaurant and order Carpaccio.
You have to expose yourselves to a global perspective. And you have to self experiment to find out.
Don't get me wrong. I did my grand tour of raw vegan, vegetarian, fruitarian with the tutelage of experts and support groups. Some people, it takes a while to suffer from the absence of meat, some it is immediate.
Some cooked meat is better than NO MEAT at all.
But RAW MEAT is tons better than cooked meat.
Just as people will be sick trying to consume cooked fruit daily, people will be sick consuming cooked meat daily.
