Amalgam under crown?

I've had all my Amalgam fillings removed. A couple weeks ago I had a root canal (2nd molar) with Amalgam under the crown pulled.

The 1st molar next to the 2nd molar I just had pulled is also a root canal (my only root canal thank god). This tooth also has Amalgam under the crown.

I can't afford to lose this 1st molar so I'm going to have the crown replaced and the amalgam removed. I'm not going to be able to get this done until January.

Would it be stupid to start Cutler's protocol before I've had that amalgam removed? From what I can tell it's sealed up pretty good.
