I would appreciate some advice about my wife's health. In May, her gynaecologist found a lump. Later an ultrasound revealed uterine fibroids and some ovarian cysts. A partial hysterectomy and removal of one of her ovaries was the only solution, we were told.
We decided to go the natural health route. We cleaned up our diet and followed a natural hygiene diet as much as we could. (It has worked wonders for me - my lipomas are diminishing daily and my cholesterol has fallen to 250, so I am very pleased, so we thought it must be doing the same for her cysts and fibroids.) About three weeks ago, she did a 5 day fast. Next week she has the much-feared return visit to the gynaecologist (we said we were going to seek alternatives and come back in a few months). To allay her fears and get some background info before the visit, she had a blood test. She last had the same blood test back in May of this year. What worries me are the changes in her calcium marker levels, which I understand can be indications of cancer. I'll give the May level then the August level to show the increase:
May - Calcium 19.9 67.49 U/mL ("acceptable" range 0-37)
Aug - Calcium 19.9 142.9 U/mL
May - Calcium 125 109.6 U/mL (acc range 0 - 35)
Aug - Calcium 125 133.8 U/mL
May (Ca 15.3 not obtained)
August - Ca 15.3 35.22 (acc range 0-25)
I'm not a doctor, but I am very sure that the doctor will use this as evidence to perform the hysterectomy, even if the ovarian cyst has reduced in size. If someone could please tell me what these fluctuations might be caused by, I would be extremely grateful.
