Just one more thought. On Judgement Day, you will not have opportunity nor will you have the desire to ask "why".
Judgement Day is when God judges man, not the other way around.
God is so glorious that if we were to see Him in our mortal flesh we would die. This is obviously a strange and foreign concept to us, but it is recorded in the Bible and is why when God appeared on the Mount of Transfiguration to a couple of the disciples, that He had to use His hand as a shield to block out most of His glory.
The Bible says to the believe that when we see Him, our faith will be made sight. When we see God, we will also see his Holiness and Righteousness. There will be no need for questions or second guessing His character.
There will be no accounting to us by God for what he has allowed on earth. His glory will demand immediate and complete worship.
Of course we can't picture this, but we do understand it to a lesser extent. Note how humans react at a rock concert or a sporting event. Many, even those reserved individuals, will shout with glee as the music plays or an impressive play is made on the field. Look at the worship of Obama. If you remember, people were fainting when they came near to him. This also happens with rock and movie stars. How much more will we be awed when we see our Creator the infinite God on his throne and his blessed Son on his right hand?
A story of a "certain rich man" and Lazarus the beggar is recorded in the Bible. The rich man was unsaved and went to hell. Lazarus to heaven. The rich man was never recorded to question God's judgement upon him, never questioned the severity of his punishment, never questioned God's righteousness or ability to judge, and never pleaded for release. He knew that this is what he and every human deserves, moral in our own sight or not. He knew that it was God's view of us that mattered, not our own. He knew too late that only God's righteousness provided to us through Christ could save us, not our own imperfect righteousness. He then realized that when Christ said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. NO man cometh to the Father but by me.", that He meant it. The rich man's request was that God would send Lazarus with a drop of water on the tip of his finger to cool his fiery tongue. His other request was that he could briefly go back and warn others. God's reply was that if people will not believe even the prophets and then his Only Begotten Son, they will not believe one that has returned from the grave.
So all this to say that you will not have occasion to cross examine God on that day. This is your chance. Right here. Right now.
