Contaminants Removed from Water by Distillation (Page 1)
According to this article, distillation does remove chloramines.
Contaminants Not Removed from Water by Distillation (Page 1)
"Certain pesticides, volatile solvents, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene and toluene with boiling points close to or below that of water will vaporize along with the water as it is boiled in the distiller."
Treatment Principles (Page 2)
"Since volatile organic compounds (VOCs) also can vaporize as the water is boiled and turned to steam, methods for removing them can be incorporated into the system."
"A third option is to use and activated carbon (AC) filter to remove VOCs from the condensed water before it enters the storage tank. Alternately the AC filter can be placed in the water feed line to the distiller so VOCs entering the distiller are reduced."
So whether or not chloramine is removed by distillation, it is still important to use an activated charcoal filter to remove the many other contaminants in the water that definitely are not removed by distillation alone.
