Re: Dr. Rind is AMAZING, and whoever says otherwise is ignorant.

I went to see Dr. Rind a few years ago when I was desperate. I was bloated, cold, felt like a reptile. After I started taking my temp several times a day for amonth, which is a very helpful tool, outlined on his clinic website, it was between 93.5 and 96.7, no higher. The local Endocrinologist I had gone to apx. 6 months earlier told me my thyroid numbers were in the "normal" range. Her name is Majd Hakim in Frederick MD. Do not take what she says seriously if you still feel like crap after leaving her office. Call Rind. I called her several months after her rejection to help me, out of complete desperation, crying-pleading that she had to help me. She refused, saying I was just going through menopause. What an idiot. OF COURSE I WAS ALSO PERIOMENOPAUSAL. It all works together, does it not? And I was under incredible stress, which was not even something she asked about or took into consideration. I called a local naturopath who recommended Rind. I went. $400, 4 hours. He looked at me. My eyes, tongue.. did a physical. Took my reflexes which were almost non existent. I was operating in a kind of hypothermic state. My adrenals were failing. Long story short:
Rind prescribed good old Iodine, highest quality Cod Liver Oil, Collagen, a Super Vitamin, and Amino Acids. IT saved my butt.
There is no reason in this world that any woman should have to operate the way I was. There is help out there. Yea, he is expensive. NO insurance. Cash. I think it was around $400 but that included a slew of supplements, around $150 worth, which I took and which changed my life. I do not like that my appointment was interrupted by other staff members comparing cases, asking info. I was a mess when I went in there and felt like a professional finally looked at me with clear vision, judged me on obvious sypmtoms, not just a blood test ( he read all my lab reports from the previous few months...) and validated my anxiety. I also got a thermogram which was very educational. I had to drive to Pittsburgjh 3 yrs before to get one when I had a breast lump. Glad someone has one in the DC area. A very good thing to do instead of mammogram.
