there has been reference to Iron being recommended for some peoples lip ailments..indeed some have had improvements...but unless you KNOW for sure you are iron deficient and or depleted which require two different tests..supplementing yourself with Iron poses some risks.
standard test results may indicate normal iron in heomoglobin but it does not necessarily mean your stored iron levels are normal too.
levels of stored iron(Ferritin)which maybe low ie iron depleted or conversely iron overloaded..and require a seperate test..called a transferrin saturation test..or a ferritin test..
the symptoms of iron overload may not be obvious and can mimic iron deficiency as in anemia. so it's best to really check it out first..
