So funny thing, I was just juice fasting for a good while - mostly Master Cleanse, then just the lemonade, then switched to juice. The juice was fabulous. Once I switched to juice and superfoods (green powder supplement), my skin saw great improvement as my dry cracked knuckles healed and softened and my hands and face softened, itchy legs not so itchy anymore. Great results!
But... now back to eating, how will I ever keep the weight loss and be a skinny girl? I definitely seem to be ensconced and ensnared by the senses as I find myself tempted to snack all day. With juice fasting, I get gratification for my taste buds all day long and perhaps I got used to that, but with food that can make you overweight. I'm not big, just struggle with that last 15 lbs that will never come off.
I wonder perhaps if I do far better with my diet if eventually the fixation on food will fade away through good nutrition so it doesn't always feel like a struggle. I know a while ago I gave up dessert for 2 months and had much less in the way of cravings and binging and lost some weight. (And then the holidays happened!) I'm hoping to be able to do that and keep the weight off from the fast but mostly it would be nice to only have a healthy appetite but without the obnoxious fixation on food.
I'm traveling next week and really want to keep it healthy. Wish me luck!
