I tried to study the subject taurine, but there doesn't seem to exist a lot of consensus about this substance. Some say its supplementation does virtually nothing, since it is a non-essential amino acid, some say it enhances the flow of bile, some say it is an important neurotransmitter, some say it is relevant for the control of cell fluids. There are claims that people with a fluid or electrolyte imbalance may have a lack of taurine.
I think I will try it as a liver tonic in the preparation phase. If it works like caffeine or as an antidepressant, I guess I can handle that.
