I'm still working off the detox from iodine, which I took mainly to tackle COPD. I can say that magnesium has made a huge impact on my breathing. I think it, along with SSKI , allowed me to forgo all my fluoride and steroid inhalers.
When I started the supplements, I held steady at 675 mg of magnesium citrate. Six weeks into Iodine (currently week 8), the COPD started creeping in again that I had to take random puffs of salbutamol again. But upping the mag dose to 900 mg definitely helped to counter it.
Today, I suspected that the Betaine I'm taking might be the cause of the worsening COPD. I overlooked that it contains milk. :(
I've also been looking into nebulizers and inhaled glutathione for final relief. If it's not the Betaine, I plan to move toward this remedy.
