In terms of bromide, I think it depends on the inhaler. Atrovent's (aka Apovent, Aerovent) main ingredient is ipratropium bromide so that definitely has it. Ipratropium is also combined with salbutamol in Combivent (aka DuoNeb, Breva). I can't think of a more blatant example of the drug industry trying to create a user dependency.

Spiriva (tiotropium bromide) should be mentioned although it's not a metered-dose inhaler.
