Are all parasites difficult to diagnose or only the microscopic ones?

I have read that parasites can be hard to detect using ova and parasite exams with traditional doctors. But I was wondering if this applied only to the microscopic ones or does it apply to even the large visible types?

I would think that even with a half-competent lab, they would be able to see the large ones. Tweet
