Two things I have noticed after 9 days without iodine. The longest break was previously 2 days. Firstly, I am extremely exhausted all the time and tend to sleep for more than 10 hours. I didn't have insomnia after the first 6 weeks of Iodine (second round). But during the first 6 weeks, I hardly slept at all. My body is making up for the lost sleep, I think. Maybe the adrenals are trying to recover as well?
Secondly, I only need to eat half of what I used to eat while taking iodine. My metabolism has slowed down immensely and I can't complain. It's nice to not have to worry about food as much.
Since the last update, I made a lot of changes to the supplement doses. With your help, I was on 800 mcg selenium for quite a while, which I think removed a lot of junk in my blood. But I had to reduce this to 400 mcg because I think I was experiencing selenosis. I had lost a significant amount of eyebrow and hair had stopped growing. Growth has restored since stopping iodine.
