Adrenal Fatigue is the result of Chronic Stress, not the other way around. We need to work on the source of chronic stress. We need to work on reducing Sympathetic Dominance. The adrenal glands are only doing what they are being told to do. The adrenal glands do not create the fight or flight response….they react to it as best they can with the reserves available. http://webspace.ship.edu/cgboer/limbicsystem.html Amygdala The amygdalas are two almond-shaped masses of neurons on either side of the thalamus at the lower end of the hippocampus. When it is stimulated electrically, animals respond with aggression. And if the amygdala is removed, animals get very tame and no longer respond to things that would have caused rage before. But there is more to it than just anger: When removed, animals also become indifferent to stimuli that would have otherwise have caused fear and even sexua| responses. I believe this has been one of the draw backs of Dr Lams approach. His program of giving massive amounts of Vitamin C and panthathine seems to keep filling gas tank tank (adrenal glands). However, without stepping back and addressing the root cause of the stress signaling and reducing sympathetic dominance, recovering is not possible. It’s actually great to see Dr Lam discussing stress signaling.
