I started Fludrocortisone 1/10 due to my sodium dropping even with tons of salt...I was hospitalized 4 times in 7 months due to sodium loss..Very scary..couldn't walk for 4 days first visit to er...then I would not wait until I got that bad again..but I would still end up being in the hospital for 3 -4 days at a time...So finally I got a new endo who put me on Fludrocortisone. I did start off with .1mg daily and then got fluid build up...so backed down slowly and then I was only on .2 mg weekly...but a few months back sodium was dropping again so I had to up it to once aday...but this past week I am trying to back down again...so now it's at 3/4 of the pill daily...I really want to get off it, if I can... long term effects I don't want.
